Grey Goose
Just over 20 years ago, the famous manufacturer and multimillionaire Sidney Frank made a decision to launch a vodka unlike any other. As a true-born romantic, he was convinced that such kind of vodka was to be produced only in France, a country known for it’s superior spirits and luxury iconic brands.
Working together with Francois Thibault, a Cognac Maître de Chai, they disrupted a spirits category steeped in convention. They defied the definition of vodka – neutrality. A brand with strength of character was born. François Thibault still personally controls the process. François was trained as a professional Cognac Maître de Chai (Cellar Master). He used this knowledge and experience to create a vodka of unprecedented taste and finesse. Grey Goose is created using just 2 ingredients, chosen by Francois himself, for their specific qualities.
Grey Goose’s soft winter wheat is sowed in Picardy, a region with a specific terroir. The wheat Grey Goose is made from is classified as ‘Blé Panifiable Superieur’, this is a highest grade wheat – the same grade used in France’s finest breads and pastries. Grey Goose uses the whole grain of the wheat, just like wholemeal bread does. To the wheat we add just one ingredient, the purest spring water from Gensac-la-Pallue, naturally filtered through the local limestone.
It’s distilled just once. A process meticulously designed by Francois himself to express the true character of these extraordinary ingredients.
